    Some properties may require a security deposit. If applicable, this will be stated on the property listing page and added to your booking details.
  • How can I check availability for a property?
    Availability can be checked on each property’s page via the calendar feature. Simply select your dates to see if the property is available, some properties will redirect you to the property website to view availability and book.
  • What amenities do your properties offer?
    Each property listing includes detailed amenities, such as secure gardens, pet-friendly interiors, and dog-specific facilities. Look for icons and descriptions on the property page for specific features.
  • Are there properties with secure outdoor spaces?
    Yes, many of our properties offer secure, fenced gardens or outdoor spaces. Check each property’s details for information on outdoor security.
  • Can I find properties with special features like hot tubs or scenic views?
    Yes! Our properties come with various features, including hot tubs, scenic river views, and entertainment areas. Each property page highlights unique amenities for easy browsing.
  • How do I become a host on XL Escapes?
    If you own a dog-friendly property, click on “Become a Host” and choose a hosting package. Complete our onboarding form, and our team will guide you through the rest of the process.
  • What are the hosting packages available?
    We offer two main packages: • Alpha Pack (Full Integration): We manage bookings, calendar updates, and payments on your behalf with a 5% commission per booking. • Big Paw Package: A monthly listing fee allows you to manage bookings on your own site while still benefitting from XL Escapes’ exposure.
  • What types of properties are suitable for XL Escapes?
    We welcome dog-friendly properties that provide secure, comfortable spaces for both dogs and their owners. Properties with enclosed gardens, pet-friendly interiors, and nearby walking trails are ideal.
  • How will I receive payments as a host?
    For the Alpha Pack, payments are processed by XL Escapes and transferred to you. For the Big Paw Package, you handle payments directly through your own booking platform.
  • Can I update my property details?
    Yes, hosts can submit updates (such as new photos or description changes) through our Contact Us - Host Support Form. Our team will review and make the necessary adjustments to your listing.
  • Are the properties secure for reactive or exempt dogs?
    Yes, our properties are carefully vetted to ensure safety for reactive and exempt dogs. Secure outdoor spaces and thoughtful layouts make them ideal for pets with specific needs.
  • Is there a way to communicate with the host directly?
    Once you book a property, you’ll have access to contact information for the host to discuss any specific needs or arrangements.
